Hello! I'm a photographer from Houston, TX. My work isn't overly artsy, except maybe the clouds. I like to capture genuine moments between people who aren't posing.
My passion is event photography, though you won't see much of it here. That's because the event that I used to photograph regularly is a secular gathering of people who have rejected religion, and this far into the Bible belt, that can be bad for business for many people. I post them in a private Facebook group where only pictures of people who have signed a release are used anywhere else.
That said, I've photographed a few prominent members of the secular humanist community, including authors David McAffee and Dr. Darrel Ray, and founders of Ex-Muslims of North America Sarah Haider and Muhammad Syed. I've even had the opportunity to photograph the villain from Robocop, Ronnie Cox.
My style is to be invisible and catch people talking, laughing, and smiling to each other. To me, people look their best when they're unguarded and not posing, just being themselves. I work with poses as well when I do weddings or author photos, but my best work is of people in crowds who have no idea my bulky Canon EOS 70D is pointed at them. I really love photography, because it combines many of my passions: buttons, gadgets, computers, and art.
Thank you very much for the fave!
